    Dr. Elizabeth Price

    Dr. Elizabeth Price joined South Rhea June 2012 and now owns the practice with Dr. Sherle Thompson.  She graduated from ETSU with her B. S. in Biology in 2008, and graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with here Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May 2012 and has been with South Rhea ever since.  Her interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, and wound care/surgery.  She also sees various pocket pets and exotics, please call to inquire about specific species.

  • Dr. Sherle R Thompson

    Dr. Thompson is co-owner with Dr. Elizabeth Price at South Rhea.  She completed her undergraduate studies in Animal Science at Auburn University in 1993, and earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine at the university's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.   Dr. Thompson joined the staff of South Rhea Animal Hospital in 2000, becoming an owner in 2005. Three years later she was instrumental in the founding and building of Sequoyah Animal Hospital in which she currently resides

  • Allison

    Veterinary Assistant / Grooming
    Allison has been with South Rhea Animal Hospital for over 20 years and has worn many different hats while always taking the best care of your pets! She started in the kennels while still in high school and has moved over the years to exam room assistant, surgical assistant, groomer and inventory management. She has lived in Dayton all her life and she is married to Dale and they two daughters, Megan and Taylor. They also live with 3 dogs and 2 cat.

    Amy

    Veterinary Assistant
    Amy joined South Rhea in March 2012 as a technician, but previously worked at Red Bank Animal Hospital since 2005.  She is married with two children, Ayden and Ava. Amy has several animals at home that include two dogs, a boxer Lexus and Shih tzu Olive. She also has two cats, Jeremy and Pearl and two goats Annie and Lego.

    Exam Room Assistant / Inventory
    Debbie has been at South Rhea since November 2003.  She started working in the kennels, moved to receptionist for 1 year and has now moved to exam room assistant. She also handles the job of inventory management. Her and husband Randy have been married since 2001 and has three sons and 3 grandchildren.  She also has 3 dogs. "I really enjoy working at the clinic and hope that your animals enjoy coming there."

    Veterinary Assistant
    Amanda enjoys helping with surgery to keep your pets safe and also performs dental procedures to keep your pets smile healthy!   She joined South Rhea in October of 2007 and is working as a veterinary assistant. She is married to Dustin and has a little boy named Easton.  They share their home with her 3 dogs; Bocephus, Burt and Cheesie, the other loves of her life.

    Joy has a warm smile and is always ready to help!  She joined the practice in April of 1999. When not at work, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. She is married to Chase, has a daughter named Sunnie. She shares her home with 3 dogs, Delight, Cleo, and Aurora and 1 cat, Curtis Lowe.

    Receptionist
    Jody will make you feel at home the minute you walk in the door!  She joined South Rhea in April 2004. She is a Spring City resident and has a son named Blake!  She also lives with 4 dogs and enjoys being outdoors when she is not at work.

    Shanna is just one of the many smiling faces you will see at the front desk and started working at South Rhea in 2005.  She has two daughters named Laney and Neylee Kate. She also has a sweet dog named Lilly.

    Kennel Manager
    Starla treats your animals like her own and will always give them love.  She joined South Rhea in August of 1998. She takes great care of any animal boarding at our facility and fulfills all their needs. She is married and has two boys, Emmanuel and Gabriel. She also has two dogs (Blush, Snapple), and 4 cats.

    Kennel Attendant
    Cheyenne is currently a student at Chattanooga State Community College. She has 4 dogs and 5 cats. She loves all animals and says "I honestly can't see myself doing anything other than working with them"

    Groomer

     Kristin is a new addition here to South Rhea and we are glad to have her! She loves working with animals and has several of her own, most of whom she's rescued! She has been grooming for two years and previously worked at Village Pet but says " I am excited to start care of pets at South Rhea Animal Hospital.

    Grooming Assistant

     Kelly, pictured with her Weimaraner Piper, has previously worked at South Rhea Animal Hospital several years ago and we welcome her back! She has three children and enjoys riding horses. She also has past experience with bathing and assisting our groomer Kristin.
